Nursing Staff: We have a full staff, including registered nurse supervisors, licensed practical nurses and certified nurse’s aides, available at all times.
On-Site Physicians: What makes us different and unique from other facilities is the fact that our attending physicians are all established and well-respected in their private practices and specialties. In addition, all of our physicians are board certified, providing our residents with personalized quality care.
Social Services: As part of our admissions process, we have a strict policy requiring that all new admissions are to be seen by a social worker within 24 hours of admission in order to comprehensively evaluate each resident. This gives us the tools to tailor a personal program to fit each resident’s specific needs.
Rehabilitative Therapy Team: Our rehab team is proud to gently guide each resident to his or her maximum functional level. Available seven days a week, the team is comprised of multilingual, experienced therapy staff who cater to all therapeutic needs in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy utilizing our state-of-the art gym and our brand new equipment.
Clinical Dietitian Team: Clinical dietitians work closely with you and the medical team to ensure your nutritional needs are met. Our Dietitians provide proper medical nutrition therapy services by initiating and maintaining a comprehensive care plan for each resident, based on comprehensive nutrition assessments, interventions, monitoring, and evaluations.
Dietary Team: Our staff of master chefs is in constant consultation with our dietitian to ensure an exquisite menu that also fulfills the dietary needs of all our residents. Our trademark, unique meals must be tasted to be believed.
Recreation: Our recreation team will hand you a calendar and advise you on the plethora of activities available. We also invite the local community into Union Plaza, including local theatrical performances, song troupes and youth organizations.
Laundry: A professional laundry service cleans all our residents’ clothing, all of which is returned freshly pressed.
Banking: We have on-site banking services and there is an ATM machine available 24 hours a day on our lower level.
Pain Management: We pride ourselves on our top-rated pain management program, designed to help our residents function at their highest potential, as independently and comfortably as possible.
In-House Medical Specialists: In addition to our nursing and physician staff, we also have regular visits from other qualified, experienced specialists. This includes a dentist, ophthalmologist, audiologist and podiatrist.
Psychological Staff: We have both a staff psychiatrist and psychologist who assist our residents and their families in understanding and treating any of the specific issues that can arise concerning mental health in the golden years.
Residents’ Board and Families’ Board: These forums allow both the residents and staff a platform on which to bring up any issues that may arise in the facility in order that they may be dealt with and improved quickly and efficiently.

Religious Services: We are happy to cater to our residents’ wide variety of religious preferences and in doing so, we hold a multitude of religious services monthly. The resident and his/her family are invited to attend any service of their choice.
Hospice and Palliative Care: At Union Center, we strive to care for all of our residents with dignity and compassion, especially during end-of-life care, when the emphasis is given to dignity coupled with comfort.
